Ever had a block that would not line up right while putting rows together? It could be because the block was sewn or cut wrong but regardless, now you have to make a date with Rip (seam ripper) and take the time to undo the seam and resew or you could try this alternative method. I have used this method several times when it is off within a ¼” to ½” any larger than that, I would not use this method because it would make the seam too bulky.

Turn the block to the backside and from the sewn line, measure over how much the block was off. (In this case, it was off 1/4' so from my sewn line, I measured 1/4" and drew a line)

Pinch up and fold the fabric on the line just drawn.

Pin in place to the original seam and sew just above your ¼” seam sewn line within the seam allowance. This keeps the original seam allowance the same.
This does make the seam a little thicker which is why I only use it when it is no more than an 1/2" off. You cannot tell when the quilt is complete.
Hope this option helps you and may your bobbins always be full!!
